Since this trip is a three day and two night Backpacking adventure, lodging will be camping in the backcountry.  We have left the Lodging information below in case you wish to arrive early or stay after the trip.   Hiking is involved in this trip and we will doing approximately 2+ miles in to our camp area.  Some of this will be flat terrain, but will include a few hills and some rocky sections.  Solid and supportive footwear is a must.  You will also need wicking clothing, rather than cotton, as the temperatures will cool off at night.  Equipment rentals will be made available in the event you do not own.  The main food preparations will be provided on Friday and Saturday evening.  You will be responsible for other snacks and your first evenings dinner.  We will be camping near a water source for filtered water, but we recommend bringing enough drinking water for your hike, plus an additional 2 litres.   A detailed itenirary and “equipment needs list” will be sent out when you sign up.  We will be available to you via phone (Tommy ~ 828-773-0369) and e-mail as the trip draws closer, to ensure you have everything you need and know what to expect.
